World Food Day(Food Sustainability for Healthy Diets)

In celebration of the World Food Day (WFD) on 10/16/2020, and the anniversary of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations before 75 years ago, the Nutrition and Dietetics Department at Cihan University – Erbil – held an international electronic (virtual) workshop under the title (Food Sustainability for Healthy Diets) during two days 18 and 19 /10/2020, and hosted many researchers and those interested in food and nutrition from different countries of the world including Poland, Hungary, Ireland and Iran.
In this special event many important scientific topics were presented within the agenda of this workshop during the two days, which enjoyed wide participation and great interaction, and it is the third year which the department organizes this celebration.
The name and the location of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University- Erbil included on the scientific and official map of the FAO as the only academic institute in Iraq that celebrates this international event on this occasion of WFD for the second time.
