The Department of Translation, Cihan University-Erbil organized a workshop entitled “Pedagogical Practices and Perspectives in Translation Studies” on March 4th, 2020. Lecturer Dr. Sirvan Aminzadeh, the head of the Translation Department presented a seminar entitled “ How to Educate Students of Translation to Become Competent Translators”. The teaching staff of different departments actively participated in the workshop and addressed some challenging questions about competent translators. Dr. Sirvan discussed the importance of applying a constructive approach in teaching translation courses. Later, Assistant Lecturer Mr. Fereydun M. Rasouli from Translation Department presented a seminar on “Audio-Visual Translation”
