To celebrate the Kurdish Press Day, the Department of Media, College of Arts and letters, Cihan University-Erbil, organized a workshop entitled “Kurdish Journalism and Current Political Developments” on Thursday April 22, 2021 at the Cihan Academy Hall. The workshop was held by the attendance of the head of Media Department and the head of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, Mr. Azad Hamadamin, who delivered his speech on the Kurdish Press Day on the relationship of the Kurdish press with the current political developments and how to deal with them. Then Dr. Hawzhen Omar gave a lecture on the history of journalism, its beginning, and the stages within which it developed up to the present time. Dr. Enas Zia also presented a speech on the relationship between politics and the media.
The workshop was attended by a large number of lecturers and students, and covered by various media outlets.
