Two female students from the Department of Computer Science at Cihan University – Erbil, November 10, 2025 have successfully completed an intensive one-month training program at Korek Telecom Company, where they were awarded certificates of participation in recognition of their achievement.
The students, Dilman Pasha Qadir and Helen Qaysar Arif, both fourth-year students, took part in a comprehensive program that provided practical training across several key technical and administrative departments within the company. During the training, they gained hands-on experience with modern digital platforms, including My Korek, SAS (Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing), and roaming systems.
A central component of the program focused on electronic security and institutional data protection. In addition, the students received professional training related to the responsibilities of an Information Technology Support Systems Administrator, as well as hands-on exposure to Internet Protocol (IP) transmission mechanisms and the operation of Central Internet Protocol systems.
At the conclusion of the training period, Korek Telecom awarded certificates of achievement to both students in recognition of their successful participation. The students expressed their sincere appreciation to the Korek Telecom supervisory team for their continuous support and guidance, with special thanks to Mr. Aram Mahmoud, Mr. Yusuf Jawdat, and Mr. Mohammed Namiya from the Human Resources Department.
Dilman and Helen emphasized that the training experience significantly enhanced their professional and personal skills, strengthened their understanding of real-world industry practices, and equipped them with advanced technical competencies that will support their future careers in computer science.
