On 12 February 2026, the Department of Accounting at Cihan University–Erbil organized an academic seminar entitled “International Financial Reporting Standard No. 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers)” as part of its continuous commitment to SDG 4: Quality Education.
The seminar was presented by Lecturer Ibrahim Hussein and focused on explaining the core principles of IFRS 15, including the five-step model for revenue recognition, identification of performance obligations, transaction price allocation, and the timing of revenue recognition. The session incorporated practical accounting examples and illustrative explanations to help understand the application of the standard in real business environments.
