Erbil, December 10, 2024 — A group of students from the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Cihan University–Erbil attended a workshop organized by the Ministry of Finance of Iraq at the Luna Hotel in Erbil on Monday, December 9, 2024. The workshop was titled “Government Expenditure Rationalization Policies.”
The workshop covered the fundamental principles and frameworks that guide governmental financial and economic policy, focusing on designing and implementing strategies to optimize public spending and maximize the use of the state’s material and human resources. Participants also explored practical approaches adopted by governmental and private institutions to ensure the effective investment of available financial resources while promoting social welfare.
Students from the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy actively contributed to the discussions, sharing insights and perspectives that enriched the workshop’s sessions. They also presented a set of proposals aimed at strengthening scientific and training cooperation between government agencies and academic institutions, highlighting the importance of collaboration in enhancing policy effectiveness and capacity building.
