On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, fourth-year students from the Departments of Business Administration and Public Administration took part in a specialized training course on the Odoo system, held at the Rotana Hotel in Erbil. The course aimed to enhance students’ practical knowledge and familiarity with modern enterprise management systems.
The training was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal and delivered by Mr. Hemin Awat, a functional consultant and certified trainer. At the outset of the session, Mr. Awat introduced the objectives and significance of the Odoo system, followed by a detailed explanation of its main components and applications.
During the course, Mr. Awat presented Odoo’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application, describing it as a customer-centric tool that enables organizations to track leads, generate accurate forecasts, and strengthen customer relationships. He also provided an overview of the Sales application and its role in supporting and streamlining business operations.
In addition, the trainer highlighted the features of Odoo’s Employees application, emphasizing its importance in managing employee information. He explained that the application functions not only as a staff directory but also as a centralized platform offering a wide range of human resource management tools.
Throughout the training, practical examples were demonstrated to illustrate how Odoo modules are applied in real-world business and administrative environments. Mr. Awat emphasized that Odoo is widely adopted by modern companies and organizations, helping students recognize its relevance to contemporary administrative and managerial practices. The session provided participants with valuable insights into how integrated digital systems support efficient decision-making and organizational performance.
