On 19 November 2025, the Department of Accounting at Cihan University–Erbil organized an academic seminar entitled “Types of Price Elasticity of Demand” as part of its commitment to SDG 4: Quality Education.
The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Ali J. Awqati and focused on explaining the concept of price elasticity of demand, including its main types such as perfectly inelastic, inelastic, unitary elastic, elastic, and perfectly elastic demand. The session combined clear definitions, real-world examples, and graphical illustrations to enhance students’ understanding of this essential economic topic.
This activity reflects the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen students’ analytical skills and promote high-quality, inclusive education through academic engagement and knowledge sharing.
