Cihan University–Erbil has successfully concluded the activities of its fourth pedagogical training course for teachers and instructors affiliated with the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The course concluded with the administration of theoretical examinations on 24 September 2025 and practical examinations on 25 September 2025, conducted under rigorous academic standards in a well-structured and organized environment.
The examinations were administered and supervised by Dr. Ahmed Abd Aoun, Head of the Department of General Education; Mr. Nozad Talat, Director of Cihan Academy; and Dr. Sarbaz Aziz, Supervisor of Cihan Academy. The examination committee closely monitored participants’ performance to ensure fairness and adherence to quality assurance principles.
A total of 152 male and female trainees participated in the course after completing a six-week intensive training program comprising 54 instructional hours. The program combined theoretical lectures with practical applications and focused on developing modern teaching competencies, effective classroom management, educational psychology, and contemporary assessment strategies. In addition, the course emphasized the use of modern educational technologies and interactive learning methods to enhance teaching effectiveness.
It is noteworthy that this pedagogical training course is part of a continuing initiative launched by Cihan University–Erbil, following three successful training courses conducted since 2022. The program is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Region, in accordance with a formal agreement between the two institutions aimed at improving teachers’ professional competencies and equipping them to meet current educational challenges.
Through organizing such training programs, Cihan University–Erbil reaffirms its ongoing commitment to supporting the educational sector in the region, investing in human capital, and contributing to sustainable educational development as a foundation for academic and societal progress.
