DESCRIPTION:Title of the Seminar \nPerspectives of Human Memory Models: A Critical Review \nAbstract \nThese models have been adopted by many researchers especially with regard to language learning. However\, few authors have reviewed them critically. The main purpose of this research is to provide a critical review of the basic memory models by demonstrating their description\, showing their evidences\, examining their applications and their limitations if any. In addition\, integrating them to serve the language teaching/learning process. The main question of the research states: Can memory models be merged in a way to result an eclectic model that provides a typical model which can be implemented in an educational setting? A critical review is put forward by manifesting the strength and short comings of these models. The research reveals; each memory model has a specific perspective of memory function in terms of processing the data that a human brain receives in daily-base life and how it holds this data otherwise it will be lost. Moreover\, an eclectic model can be formulated to comprise the subdivisions that suites the teaching strategies adopted. So\, in the light of this result\, a researcher can design the model that fits his/her educational setting making use of them. The research is supposed to pave the way for future studies in utilizing more than one memory model and apply them to language teaching/learning process. DESCRIPTION:Title \nDetermination of critical saturation degree in rocks based on maximum loss of uniaxial compression strength and deformation modulus \nAbstract \nStrength and deformation modulus are two basic parameters in rock engineering designs. So far\, many studies have been done on the effect of the water content on the foregoing two parameters all of which emphasize on the reduction of them by increase of water. In spite of performing many studies carried out in this field\, two important questions have been remained unanswered: (1) Is there any degree of saturation in which the greatest variations in compressive strength and deformation modulus occur? (2) Does the saturation have more effect on the strength or on the deformation modulus? This matter has been discussed in this paper by conducting uniaxial compressive strength tests on 78 rock samples from 4 different lithologies in two dry and saturated conditions. The results showed that the compressive strength and the modulus of deformation have the highest losses in the saturation water content ranging between 0.2 and 2%\, and the modulus of deformability decreases more than the compressive strength. In addition\, the loss of compressive strength and deformation modulus is independent of the rock strength class proportionate to the saturation. \nPlace: Civil Eng.Dept. \nDate: 11/11/2021

DESCRIPTION:العنوان \nالطعن بمقبولية الدعوى في المحكمة الجنائية الدولية القضية الليبية 2011 \nالملخص \n تبنى النظام الأساسي للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية حق الطعن عن طريق الاستئناف، أمام دائرة استئناف تتشكل من قضاة أكثر خبرة و عددا هذه الأخيرة ،منوط بها النظر في نزاعات قد تنشأ بين الأطراف الذين مَكّنهم نظام روما الأساسي من هذا الحق، باعتبارها تمثل قمة الهرم القضائي في المحكمة و نهاية التدرج القضائي فيها. و تضطلع دائرة الاستئناف بهذه الصلاحيات خلال جميع المراحل التي تمر بها الدعوى ، بداية من مرحلة الإحالة إلى المحكمة و صولاً إلى مرحلة صدور الحكم البات في الدعوى مروراً بمرحلة التحقيق، تجلى ذلك من خلال تشعب النصوص الناظمة لآلية الاستئناف على مختلف الوثائق المحددة لعمل المحكمة. وبإمكان السلطات أن تطعن على اختصاص المحكمة في القضية وكذلك المتهمين، من خلال مذكرة قانونية تدعى “طعن المقبولية”. حيث يتكامل اختصاص المحكمة مع الأنظمـة القانونيـة الوطنيـة للـدول الأعضاء، ولكن القضاء الوطني يكون له الأولوية وفقاً لنص المادة (17) من النظام الأساسـي. القضية الليبية المعروضة على المحكمة منذ 2011 من القضايا التي تقدم المتهمين بمذكرة طعن بموجب المادة (17\1\ج) \n المكان: ب2 قاعة 211 \nالتاريخ: 11/22/2021
