DESCRIPTION:Title \nRotating Biological Contactors For Large Scale Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant For Erbil \nAbstract \nEnergy consumed by the proposed RBC based WWTP for Erbil was 11\,814\,174 kWh per annum (0.155 kWh/m3) which is quite low. Compared to CAS modelling which consumes ~59% of energy used by CAS. RBC process is known as low energy consumption technology for WWTP. The value of OPEX (1\,050\,485 GBP/annum or 0.0136 GBP/m3) was low because it consumes low energy and is easy to operate. Less manpower and skill are required for operation and maintenance of the RBC as it is simple system. The value of CAPEX (~26 million GBP) was ~ 9% higher than a CAS due to the high cost of the RBCs units\, and the footprint slightly higher (~3.5%). However\, the greater footprint would have little impact on the CAPEX in this instance since the land has no associated value. \nPlace: civil department \nDate: 4/12/2022
